The Armenian authorities must do everything to ensure that the Russians who moved to Armenia and work there remain in the republic as long as possible, the country’s Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan said.
Speaking at a meeting of the parliamentary commission on regional issues and issues of Eurasian integration, Kerobyan noted that the ministry is already working to ensure that the proposed introduction of an increased tax rate for relocators in the Russian Federation “to have the least impact on Russian citizens working in Armenia,” reports “RIA News”.
In turn, Khachatur Sukiasyan, deputy from the Civil Contract faction, stressed that Russian specialists had a positive impact on the situation in the IT sphere of Armenia, so everything must be done to preserve this effect.
Let us recall that earlier State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that citizens who left the Russian Federation not only work in Russian companies remotely, but also enjoy all the benefits in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation. The speaker of the State Duma proposed to abolish preferences and introduce an increased tax rate for them.
