On November 1, 2022, Jonathan Pinto, a 28-year-old Ecuadorian who lives in Barcelona, Spain, shared a photo on his Instagram account in which he appears with a scar on his left eyebrow and on the post explains that many thought, the day before, that it was part of a representation for Halloween. Nothing could be further from reality, the mark that can be seen on his face was the consequence of an action for which those who have seen him in Spanish digital media consider him a hero.
In the early hours of Sunday, October 30, 2022, Jona_Pinto, as he registers on the social network where he has more than 7,500 followers, left a local on Tuset street after a DJ gig -as it is known in musical slang at performances out of season – on his way home and passing through Balmes street in Barcelona he heard screams and as he approached he saw how two women were attacked with a stone by a man and he did not hesitate to intervene.
The digital media Elcaso.com reports that the man who attacked the two women is sentenced to 16 years in prison for the stabbing murder of a security guard in 2008, but he is in possession of a third degree permit that allowed him to leave on Saturday, October 29.
The assaulted women were identified as Noa and Jana, the man hit the first with a large stone and the second he punched several times.
Jonathan, who has lived in Barcelona for more than 20 years, upon seeing the scene, put aside the backpack he was carrying and jumped on the individual who confronted him, hit him with his elbow and with the stone that had injured Noa, he broke his eyebrow. The Ecuadorian controlled the man for a moment, but he ran away. Hours later he was arrested.

What was the DJ doing in that sector? He finished his performance and decided to walk back to his house after he found out that his sister, who was at a party in that area, took a taxi back to her apartment. This situation led him to find the assault on the two women along with whom he was transferred by the Emergency Medical System (SEM) to a hospital to be treated for the blows and suture the wound to the head.
On October 31, the man, with whom the Ecuadorian confronted in his desire to defend the two women, was handed over to the duty judge who ordered his admission to prison for the crimes of robbery with violence and injuries. According to the digital media, one of the young women assured that when the process progresses, she will request that the individual, identified as Alberto RM, be charged with attempted homicide and not only for injuries.
Noa and Jana, 21 and 22 years old, assured Antena3.com They do not explain the individual’s attack, who they say pounced on them to kill them. The first of the victims of the brutal attack told another outlet that Alberto had no intention of sexually assaulting them, that his goal was to kill them, and he told them so.
