One week after the announcement of the start of the familiarization trips on the Quito Metro trains, which were later postponed, there is no date for their start.

Initially, it was reported that the second phase of the process would begin on Thursday, January 5, so that citizens know about the operation of the project, but it was suspended due to a problem with the computer system that would allow users to schedule.
Those interested, who had to schedule their trips from midnight, were unable to access the system.
Familiarization trips on Quito Metro trains do not yet have a date
When wanting to create an account on the Metro website to be able to travel, the message that was read this Thursday, January 12, was the following: “Dear user, the page will be enabled soon. We will be communicating the new schedules through our website and through the media.”
The message has been the same since last weekend.
Through a statement, the Metro -last Sunday- indicated that during the night of January 4 a failure was detected in the technological platforms that prevented the synchronization between the issuance and recognition of the QR codes issued by the Metro Q account platform, which made automatic access control impossible, an essential element for platform safety.
“Given this inconvenience, to protect the safety of the people concerned, work is being done to solve what has arisen to, in the shortest possible time, rehabilitate the reserve of learning passes for the dynamic induction phase,” he added.
There has not been a new statement from that company, although the mayor of Quito, Santiago Guarderas, did.
“We are waiting, exactly the operations manager is on this issue of, I don’t know if the appropriate term is the improvement or reconstruction of this computer part, which is what prevents us, but according to the latest information that I have had, they are practically paying off, and we will be able to give good news perhaps this week,” he said in Teleamazon.
These are the steps to create an account for the Quito Metro and access the stations
What does continue is the visit to the stations.
