A trike driver received at least four bullet wounds this Wednesday morning at the whereabouts on Perimetral avenue, near the Un Techo para los Pobres cooperative, in La Trinitaria, south of Guayaquil.
According to witnesses, motorized subjects arrived at the site and searched among the drivers for the 40-year-old man to shoot him several times.
After that, they fled, amid the commotion of their companions and witnesses to the event.

They immediately alerted the ECU911 system and managed to take him to a health home.
Colonel Frausto Miño, head of the Esteros district, stated that it is an assassination attempt, that police personnel are deployed to obtain more details since it has not yet been confirmed whether it was due to robbery, extortion or some other motivation.
Residents of that area explained that they have also begun to ask for ‘vaccines’ from motorists and those who drive trikes.
