The collision between two passenger transport buses caused injuries to nine people. The incident happened this Tuesday morning on the Montecristi-Jipijapa route, near the La Pila parish.
In a preliminary statement from ECU911, it is stated that it was a collision between two buses that covered the Jipijapa-Manta route. One of the vehicles was parked and the other was in circulation at the time of the crash.
After the emergency, patrol cars and ambulances from various relief agencies were mobilized, such as the National Police, the Montecristi Fire Department, the Ecuadorian Transit Commission and the Ministry of Public Health.

After the medical assessment at the site, it was learned that nine people (whose ages range from 22 to 58 years) were injured, who received the respective care in these cases.
“Some of those affected were taken to nearby health homes for a more specific assessment,” said the Portoviejo ECU911 statement.
