Kamchatka soldier Aleksey Breusov was sentenced to a year and eight months in a colony-settlement for refusing to participate in hostilities in Ukraine. According to RBC, this was reported in the 35th military garrison court.
The court report said that in early October, Breusov, “realizing the mobilization announced in the Russian Federation” and not wanting to participate in hostilities, refused to do so, “that is, from leaving in accordance with the order of the commander of the military unit to the NVO zone.” According to the court, he refused to participate in hostilities, being in the military investigation department of the Investigative Committee for the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky garrison. By his refusal, the press service pointed out, he violated the charter of the internal service and the disciplinary charter of the Armed Forces.
The case against Breusov was opened under the article on refusal to participate in military or hostilities (part 2.1 of article 332 of the Criminal Code), the maximum penalty is imprisonment for up to three years. The serviceman filed an appeal with the Pacific Fleet Court.
