The US leader compared the Kinzhal to other missiles and noted that the Russian one has the same warhead as any other. According to Biden, there is not much difference. “Besides, it is almost impossible to stop it,” the US President said.
Earlier it was reported that the Pentagon does not understand why the Russian armed forces used hypersonic weapons in Ukraine. A senior U.S. military official clarified that the U.S. authorities can neither deny nor independently confirm the use of hypersonic weapons by Russia in Ukraine, but believe that this is “of course, possible.” According to him, among the possible explanations is considered the desire of the Russian Federation “to send a signal to the West and Ukraine” in the context of ongoing negotiations to resolve the conflict.
