The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inamhi) issued a rain and thunderstorm alert valid until January 8.
For the coastal region, rains of varying intensity are expected, accompanied by storms, occasional gusts of winds, and fog in the center, north, and interior of the region.
In the Inter-Andean region, scattered rains and drizzles are expected, especially in the northern provinces, without ruling out electrical storms and gusts of wind. While in the Amazon region, precipitations of varied intensity are expected in a large part of the northern provinces, with greater intensity in the foothills of the mountains.
The entity anticipated that ultraviolet radiation indices are expected to be between moderate and very high in various areas of the country.
Regarding the temperature this Thursday, on the coast they will oscillate between 21 °C and 31 °C, in the Sierra they will be between 7 °C and 23 °C. In the Amazon, it will be between 17 °C and 32 °C.
The Insular region will have temperatures between 22 °C to 29 °C.
With regard to ultraviolet radiation, it is expected that this is between 5 and 10.(YO)
