Around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday 4, a traffic accident was registered on the E25 Ventanas – Quevedo road, at the height of the entrance to the Aguas Frías enclosure.
One person died in the accident road. The victim was identified as Flavio de Los Angeles Lozano Vite, 49, a native of Babahoyo.
According to witnesses, the citizen was driving his gray car with GSJ-175 plates in the Zapotal – Ventanas direction, when he was hit by an interprovincial transport unit.
Personnel from the National Police, the Ecuadorian Traffic Commission (CTE) and agents from the Traffic Accident Investigation Office (OIAT), went to the site once they were alerted by citizens who witnessed the event.
After the respective expertise, the corpse was lifted.
Members of the CTE indicated that the driver of the interprovincial unit fled and the bus was abandoned at the scene of the accident. (I)
