A half-naked body was found before 06:00 this Monday, December 26, in a garbage dump located in the Nueva Prosperina cooperative, a few meters from an educational unit in the northwest of Guayaquil.
The victim had a gunshot wound to the right leg and six stab wounds to the chest. She did not carry her personal documents, she only wore underwear and black shoes.
The police discovered drag tracks from a house located about 150 meters from the dump. A casing was found outside the house.
It is presumed that he was murdered there and then his body was dragged and left in the middle of the garbage.

The neighbors told the police that they do not know the victim, however, they recalled around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday hearing several shots and a struggle, but they assure that they did not look out for fear.
During the Christmas holiday (from Saturday to Monday) at least seven people have been murdered in different cooperatives in Nueva Prosperina.
In addition, two young men, ages 14 and 18, are recovering from gunshot wounds at a local hospital.
So far in 2022 in the Nueva Prosperina District, at least 360 violent deaths have been reported. Last year the figure, to date, was 94 cases. (YO)
