Three violent deaths were reported between Tuesday and Wednesday of this week in three locations in the country.
In the first case, Víctor Manuel Cusme, 23, was killed with a gunshot in the face in the Restrepo subdivision of the El Carmen canton (Manabí), around 23:00 last Tuesday.
Upon arrival, police personnel found the man face down, wearing a purple T-shirt, a jean blue and sneakers.
A police report indicated that, apparently, there was an altercation between the victim and other people who were sucking, and after an argument they allegedly shot him in the face with a handmade weapon.
Rescuers from the Fire Department arrived at the site alerted by ECU-911 and verified that he had no vital signs.

Residents of Santa Martha transported the injured man on a motorcycle to the Nelson Estupiñán civic square sector; and then, from there, in a van to the Sur Delfina Torres hospital, where they confirmed his death.
Agents from the Directorate of Violent Deaths (Dinased) and Criminalistics of the National Police arrived at the site to collect evidence and continue with the investigations, to find those responsible for the incident.
That same day, in Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Tsáchila province, Joffre Paredes, 50, was found dead inside an apartment in the Las Palmeras urbanization.
The man was handcuffed and reportedly received a fatal blow to the head, according to Criminalistics investigators. Paredes’s wife reported that the deceased went out to do electrical connection work in a building, and when she saw that he did not return, she notified her father-in-law and the authorities.
For now, the Police suspect some tenants who left the apartment after the incident. It is presumed that the homicide would be for an attempted robbery.
