As Espíritu Bravo Caguana (55), Jonathan Rafael Almeida Saltos (3) and Damaris Antonella Jima Wong (6 months), the three victims of the shipwreck that occurred on Sunday afternoon in the Colta lagoon, Chimborazo, were identified.
Bravo Caguana was a native of the Cocán community, Tixán parish, Alausí canton.
Luis Lema, radio South Antennaindicated that in the town there is consternation and pain over the death of the woman, who had five children, four of whom migrated to the United States together with her husband, Manuel Villa.
Villa and her four children live in the Coronas, Queens, New York area, where they held a cult with members of the Esperanza Divina evangelical church on Sunday, after hearing the news where Bravo died.

Through cell phone contact, José Inga, a member of the church, commented that Villa has lived in the United States for nearly two years. He arrived like hundreds of Ecuadorians in search of better days for the family.
He explained that there is deep pain not only in the relatives, but in the entire community for the death of Bravo, noting that the husband and children do not plan to travel to Ecuador to say goodbye, because unfortunately they are not in a position to do so.

For his part, a visibly dismayed Villa explained that on Saturday they shared the joy of Christmas without imagining that this Sunday the sad news of the death of his wife would reach him.
He said he was living through very difficult times and asked that they join in prayer.
Inga called on the authorities to be more responsible and have all the assurances when it comes to offering entertainment services such as the boats in the Colta lagoon. (YO)
