The man who was lynched and his motorcycle burned last Friday in the Santa María parish, La Manga del Cura sector, could not resist his injuries and died on the morning of Saturday, December 17, in a hospital in Santo Domingo.
The Police did not confirm the identity of the individual, and although a name was revealed, it was not corroborated. The now deceased would be of Colombian nationality.

The man would have been detained after having committed an assault in a cyber in the company of two other subjects who managed to flee.
The events took place in the rural parish of Santa María.
It was reported that the victim was driving the motorcycle on which he was moving with the other two subjects, who entered a cyber to steal the money collected.
The robbery did not go well for them since when fleeing, the driver of a vehicle that was passing through the place would have hit them. Several people who followed them recognized the assailants, so they set the motorcycle on fire.
In a matter of minutes, dozens of people from Santa María crowded around the guy and the motorcycle, which was the first to go up in flames. But the people also sprayed gasoline on the body of the detained man, and although they said it was only to scare him, there was no shortage of someone who lit him on fire, he told himself.

In videos that circulated, the back of the individual was observed totally burned, while he shouted: “Oh, my God, help me”, and writhed in pain.
Firefighters and police arrived at the scene and took him to the El Carmen hospital, but due to the severity of the burns, he was taken to a Santo Domingo hospital.
Dinased and Criminalistics personnel removed the corpse, which was taken to the morgue. (YO)
