After two years of absencethe annual charity event telethon for life resume this face-to-face 2022 and promises to be one of the most special editions so far, with more than one surprise. This is how the vice mayor of Guayaquil, Joshua Sanchez, who directs the televised meeting for the first time.
On which channels to watch the transmission of Teletón 2022?
Telethon 2022 will take place this sunday december 11from 10:00, in the León Febres-Cordero Art Center Theater, its traditional seat. The musical repertoire will start with the Colombian Fanny Lu and his son Theo, who will interpret the official song of the day at its opening, advances Sánchez.
“The song was produced by Master Chris, from Puerto Rico. In addition, it will be part of this opening the choir Notes of Light, with blind children and other disabilities, who receive support from the Municipality of Guayaquil. It will certainly be very exciting.”

The mentioned producer is part of the team producing the charity galawhich was also in charge of another event promoted by the Mayor’s Office, the festival heat. “Given the success of the Heat’s production, due to its quality and level, we ask you to give us a hand with the Teletón theme. Regarding the lineup of invited artists, the Teletón por la vida will present the internationals Fanny Lu, Teo, Dekko, Boza, Axel and Américo, who will arrive between Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10. As for national talents, the stage will be animated by El Tita, Maykel, Dayanara, Yilda, Nikki Mackliff, Trees Dedos, Douglas Bastidas, Patricia Gonzales.
These are the artists confirmed so far for Teletón 2022
“Unlike other editions of Teletón, in this one the international artists will be distributed all day. Originally, the telethons began with the national artists or the smallest ones and then the level went up throughout the day”. In this sense, illustrates Josué Sánchez, the repertoire begins with Fanny Lu, followed by El Tita. “Fanny Lu will sing again at noon… Then Américo will sing at 1:00 p.m. and so on until closing, which will be with Axel.”
In addition, according to the second highest administrative and political authority in the city, this year the number of artists has been reduced, “because the center of the Teletón is the children. Throughout the ten hours of the event we will present cases of children who have been assisted by the Teletón, thanks to the donations of those who have contributed”.
Fifteen stories of minors benefited by the proceeds will be projected on stage, some of which will attend the event. “Many of them have already passed their treatments, they are already healthy, others are still undergoing treatment. Some of them will be there that day and will go up on stage to tell why it is important that people continue to donate,” Sánchez said.
Teo, the son of Fanny Lú, makes his debut as an urban singer: “I was born in the era of reggaeton, rap, ‘freestyle’… They are my basis for telling stories. That is why the urban represents me”
In this sense, the vice mayor shares that they hope to repeat what was collected in 2019, the last Telethon of his life, before the pandemic.
“We have set ourselves the same goal with which we started in 2019, which is one million two hundred thousand dollars. We know that we have spent two years of pandemic, economic crises, and national strikes, but we are sure that just like that year, when the goal was exceeded, one million eight hundred and one thousand dollars were raised, this year we will do it too ”.
A sign that they are on this path, says Sánchez, have been the calls from local companies as well as from the capital Quito that have decided to join the project. “We have also received donations from international artists’ foundations, which will be announced on the day of the Telethon,” says the vice mayor, like the Karol G.
