The business idea began in college, says Serrano, 31. “I started selling hair accessories, and my college friends bought them for their girlfriends.. And little by little we grew”, he mentions, adding that he later decided to upload photos of his products on Facebook to sell them that way.

He followed that path together with another person until he managed to open your place in Urdesa, very characteristic, because the pink color stands out. After, opened its Serratosa Textil factorywhich is his second project.
There the samples, sales projections, production order, digital traces and finishes are made, such as ironing the garments, putting buttons on them, labels and so on. Fulgore garments are 100% cotton and anti-wrinkle. your shoes like flatsand handbags are also iconic.
Beyond cutting-edge design, Serrano highlights the craftsmanship behind the brand, because they manufacture from scratch and “with love.” In fact, he is not only dedicated to manufacturing Fulgore products, such as his thermal wallets or high heels, but also manufactures for large chains of retailsuch as De Prati and Corporación Favorita, specifically for Megamaxi and Gran Aki. In some of these stores there are Fulgore products, but also those orders made by these chains under their brands.
“In 2014 we started with De Prati selling hair accessories under our own brand. Subsequently, there was already the opening to start manufacturing their own brands. This is where this division was born, the company as a small business group: Fulgore for its own brand and Serratosa to start manufacturing for third parties”, he explains.

The factory produces 10,000 units of clothing, shoes, handbags, hair accessories such as headbands, headbands and others weekly.. Within this amount are the products of Fulgore and other brands. And to achieve all these results, Serrano is accompanied by 120 people, who work directly and indirectly.
“In the indirect ones we handle a modality: we try so that the mothers of the home continue to be mothers of the home and that they can work from home. We do everything in the factory and we cut them so that they can manufacture at home and then return to us. They do it in their free moments, when their children are asleep or when they go to school.. But they don’t waste that time going and coming back,” says Serrano, who is also the mother of two children.
His business is not only concentrated on the premises and in the factory, since he also makes shipments nationwide and gives online courses. For Serrano, its growth is visualized precisely in the meaning of the Italian word shine: ‘shine’. He says he still feels those “butterflies in his stomach.”

“It is a roller coaster of emotions. It is worth continuing to have that same enthusiasm and sparkle in the eyes, of being in love with my companies as such. The day I stop feeling those butterflies in my belly for Fulgore and the group of companies, it will not be difficult for me to close and start something else; but we always have to be faithful to the purpose”, highlights the Marketing engineer with a mention in Branding.
“I perceive an interest in natural products, it is a market to exploit,” says the owner of Botania, a brand that increases its income by 15% each year
One of her greatest achievements is being a mother and a businesswoman at the same time.. “Being able to prove to myself that, despite my youth, I can lead large teams of people, get many people to change the chip of the old school, of exploitation… And be a mother at the same time as being an entrepreneur. I believe that, for all women, trying to have a balance between being a mother and not leaving aside what you like, makes you stay alive.. It is one of the challenges we face, and being able to have had the chance to experience all these stages is one of the greatest achievements”, he says.
Serrano hopes to continue growing and make Fulgore “a party”. He wants to keep moving forward without hurting anyone and compete fairly. He also thinks about expanding his factory.
After making an analysis of its ten years in the market, Serrano concludes that starting a business in the country is not difficult. “But yes, in the society in which we live, a society that questions your age a lot., that you are a woman, a mother, or because it is not a family investment. You have to change that mentality ”, she maintains.
She advises two actions that have worked for her. First, Do not always classify yourself as an entrepreneur. “Because sometimes we say: ‘It’s just that I’m an entrepreneur’, and he is always classified as a little project. And if it works, well; and if not, no. The moment we believe that character, that we are businessmen, we can reach the next level ”, he says.
And your second suggestion is take care of mental health. “Every fortnight I go to my psychologist, and she has made me break all those limitations… They make me eat the world in the pieces that I decide, but not what the rest imposes on me. That is the current success, ”she points out. (YO)
