Pico y Placa restriction in Quito applies as of today; this is how mobility will be the first week of November

Vehicles will be restricted according to the last digit of their plates in two schedules

The mobility plan Pico y Placa is valid from November 1 2021. However, due to the Holiday of the Day of the Dead and Independence of Cuenca the application of the restriction starts from today.

It is Thursday, November 4, they will not be able to circulate vehicles with plate ending in 7 or 8 in the schedule from 05:00 to 10:00 and from 16:00 to 21:00. Outside these hours there will be free mobility.

The motorcycles are also part of the restriction, it will be applied to the last number of the plate, without taking into account the final letter.

The measures apply only to the urban area of ​​Quito. Therefore, the valleys of Los Chillos and Tumbaco are not part of this restriction.

This will be the restriction by plates:

Monday Vehicles with license plates ending in 1 and 2
Tuesday Vehicles with license plates ending in 3 and 4
Wednesday Vehicles with plates ending in 5 and 6
Thursday Vehicles with plates ending in 7 and 8
Friday Vehicles with license plates ending in 9 and 0
Saturday, Sunday and holidays Free movement 24 hours

The limits for the application of the Peak and Plate are:

  • North: Calle de los Narcisos (unrestricted road), from Córdova Galarza avenue (Higher Police School) to Simón Bolívar avenue (Villorita bridge).
  • On: Up to the Catahuango bridge, S63 and S60 streets, Guamaní industrial area, Albán de Romero (unrestricted roads).
  • It is: Simón Bolívar Avenue (unrestricted road).
  • West: Avenida Mariscal Sucre (with restriction) to Avenida Córdova Galarza and Calle de los Narcisos.

The capacity in public transport it remains 100%.
