A bus overturned in the Cebadas hamlet of the Guamote canton, Chimborazo province, on the morning of this Tuesday the 13th. ECU911 received the alert at 08:30 and coordinated the attention of different entities so that they would come to the site and attend to the emergency.
At the scene of the accident, paramedics treated three men, ages 22, 26 and 42, who had multiple blows and fractures. After receiving first aid, the three people were transferred to the Riobamba General Hospital. Likewise, care was provided and more wounded were referred to other health homes.
In the traffic accident, one person died.

The damaged bus belonged to a cooperative that traveled along the Macas-Cebadas highway. It was learned that members of the musical group Los del Río de Ambato were traveling in the unit. The drummer of this group would be the fatal victim of the accident.
According to preliminary information, the traffic accident would have been caused by excessive speed. The driver took the curve wrong and, due to the high speed, the bus turned and hit the security fence. This metallic structure prevented the vehicle from falling into an abyss.
The bus driver was not at the scene. Relatives of the deceased and the injured people arrived at the site, who were dismayed by the fact. (YO)
