A man known as Lalo was murdered while he slept in a doorway on Chile and Bolivia streets, in the south of Guayaquil.

It is a street inhabitant, presumably, who had been spending the night in that sector near the Centenario neighborhood for years.

Some neighbors reported having looked out at 05:30 and seeing the lump on the floor, but it wasn’t until 06:30 that they noticed in daylight that there was a pool of blood around Lalo.

Next to the body of the now deceased, the agents found a large rock this morning after the alert to ECU911.

Colonel Marcelo Castillo, head of the South district, mentioned that he was apparently hit on the head while he was sleeping. The blow was forceful and the man died immediately.

Castillo mentioned that it could be a premeditated death, since the rock is heavy and they presume that two people acted, in addition, the area is regenerated and this would be a stone that does not correspond to the sector.

“She was taken to this point to commit the crime,” Castillo said.
