At least five motorcycles surprised the residents of the Juan Péndola cooperative, in central Guasmo. They murdered a man who was in a white vehicle with tinted windows.
This attack occurred yesterday afternoon amid the astonishment of the neighbors and residents who were in a park, a store and businesses in that area.
According to witnesses to the event, the motorists blocked the path of the vehicle and began to shoot. As much as the driver tried to escape, the other subjects on motorcycles prevented him.

“The man died there, next to the car. All the bloodstains are still there. A girl and another man were also injured,” a witness explained.
The injured were taken to a southern hospital. Dinased and Criminalistics personnel removed the body and evidence.
Uniformed officers reviewed the security cameras to find out more details about this attack that surprised the residents of that cooperative, near the Mercado de las Esclusas.

Residents who preferred not to identify themselves commented that there are more and more armed attacks in that area; that there are many motorists who roam that area frequently, and that they do so at any time of the day.
They added that police patrolling is scarce in the sector, which is why it lends itself to more cases of insecurity. (YO)
