In Argentina, an armed man made an attempt on the life of the former head of state, and now vice-president of the country, Cristina Kirchner, who was not injured, reports Infobae.
“The man pointed a gun at Christina Kirshner,” TN TV channel quotes RIA Novosti.
The attacker was detained, it turned out to be a 35-year-old Brazilian. It is emphasized that the gun was loaded, but did not work.
Reacting to the incident, Brazilian presidential candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva condemned the attack on Kirchner.
For his part, ex-policeman Fabio, who asked RIA Novosti not to mention his last name, believes that the attack on the vice-president of Argentina became possible due to a number of mistakes made by her guards and herself.
“During the attack, the security guards who were next to her did not shield the vice president with themselves to get a bullet, as they should. But it must be their instinct. And none of the guards even took out a weapon, ”the expert pointed out.
