The official pointed out that this State portfolio will be dedicated to the strategic area and the Police to the operational area.
The first axis will be citizen security, internal protection and public order. He explained that it will not only be for common crime, but also for threats such as organized crime, drug trafficking, arms trafficking, explosives, human trafficking.

The second axis refers to providing resources and announced that there will be a budget of $317 million to buy vests, weapons, ammunition.

He announced that there will be workshops with police units to determine their specific needs.
Another axis is legal reforms and restructuring of the educational model of the Police with approaches to eradicate violence and rights.
He indicated that on October 14, 1,760 police officers will graduate and on October 30, 8,500 officers will enter with a new curriculum.
The fourth axis will be that of strategic communication of both the ministry and the police commanders.
