Municipal personnel who were cleaning weeds on Francisco de Orellana avenue, north of Guayaquil, discovered on the morning of this Wednesday, July 20, a lifeless body at the height of the road ear that connects that artery with the Narcisa de Jesús highway. This sector belongs to the Pascuales district.
The body had been abandoned under the overpass, an area that has no lighting at night.

According to the first reports, the victim is a male person, between 35 and 40 years old, who has bruises on various parts of the body and lacerations on the extremities.
A policeman who arrived at the scene after alerting the workers indicated that the deceased had blows to the ribs, chest and face. He detailed that he had apparently been handcuffed, because lacerations can be seen on his wrists and legs. Also, he has another laceration to his waist.
“He has no visible tattoos and is wearing a blue shirt and yellow shorts,” an agent said.
It was also mentioned that the man would have died about twelve hours ago, according to the cadaverous rigidity and the state of decomposition of the body.

Since Saturday, July 16, six violent deaths have been reported in the Pascuales district, including two children aged 10 and 6.
