Considered as a snack, fast food, snack or snack, the hamburger is one of the favorite preparations, for adults and children, and this month it will have its own festival. Burger Show is the event that for the first time brings together 60 ventures specialized in hamburgers to choose the three best in the entire city.
On the El Dorado esplanade (next to the Riocentro El Dorado), on Saturday 23, Sunday 24 and Monday 25 July, the event will be held under the auspices of McDonald’s and with the endorsement of the Municipal Public Company of Tourism and Public Relations, directed by Gloria Gallardo.
Guayaquil businessman Daniel Molina, mentalizer of the day, analyzed the opportunity to bring together all the specialized gastronomic enterprises. “With Burger Show we want to contribute to the economic reactivation of these enterprises that trust in their work and will publicize their product on a massive scale,” he says.
The establishments will participate in three categories: signature hamburger, Mash hamburger, traditional hamburger. The jury will be led by Jorge Rausch, Colombian chef and judge of the program master chef; Santiago Granda, director of the Escuela de los Chefs: and Ricardo Leyva, one of Colombia’s Shark Tank and chef representing McDonald’s international.
The winners will obtain study scholarships at the Escuela de los Chefs and will travel to Bogotá to receive training with Rausch, as well as cash prizes and credits to expand their businesses.
“This festival was institutionalized as a gastronomic tourist attraction and is part of the annual agenda of events in the Julian festivities, we have the endorsement of the Municipality of Guayaquil and each year “the best hamburger in the city” will be chosen, “Molina pointed out .
In addition, the day will include children’s activities, contests, raffles, shows for children and concerts with national artists such as Andreína Bravo, Jorge Luis del Hierro, Dayanara Peralta, AU-D, Any Buesa, among others.
The final will be hosted by Jonathan Estrada. Admission will cost $3 for adults and children under 12 are free.
