The goalkeeper of CSKA and the Russian national team Ivan Fedotov filed a complaint with the Vsevolozhsk District Court against the decision of the St. Petersburg military registration and enlistment office to call for military service. This was reported to the TASS agency by his lawyer Alexei Ponomarev.
Earlier it was reported that the 25-year-old hockey player was detained and they want to accuse him of evading the army – under article 328 of the Criminal Code “Evasion of military or alternative civilian service.” Later it became known that the athlete became ill at the military registration and enlistment office on Zagorodny Prospekt, and he was taken to the hospital.
According to Ponomarev, the application to the court was filed the day before. “The decision on conscription for military service was appealed in court and suspended. Ivan should have been released or sent to a civilian hospital, since he is not a military man, ”the lawyer specified, emphasizing that the military registration and enlistment office ignored the application, so they sent Fedotov to the hospital. In the near future, the court should schedule a hearing on this issue.
In addition, the lawyer told the agency that Ivan Fedotov continues to be examined at the First Naval Clinical Hospital, his gastritis has worsened due to stress, but an exact diagnosis has not yet been established. The parents of the hockey player, as well as the lawyer, are not allowed into the medical facility. Doctors and police officers in the hospital refuse to talk.
