Additional PLN 200 to retirement pension: who can apply?

the application may be submitted by:

1. Firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Brigades
2. Seniors serving in the Mountain Volunteer Rescue Service
3. Seniors serving in the Tatra Volunteer Rescue Service.

To be eligible for this benefit, you must:

• complete retirement age,
• actively participated in rescue operations or rescue operations at least once a year for a minimum period of 25 years for men and 20 years for women.

A rescue benefit, i.e. an additional PLN 200 to the retirement pension. You need an application that you do not submit to ZUS

an office other than ZUS is responsible. The application should be submitted to the municipal or poviat fire brigade commander. Other documents confirming the above-mentioned requirements are also necessary. A fire fighter or a fire officer of the Volunteer Fire Department is obliged to:

1. Complete the application with the GDPR clause,
2. Find three witnesses who will complete statements confirming the applicant’s participation in rescue operations, one of them must be a person who performed a public function or was employed in an office servicing a local government authority,
3. Go to the commune office to confirm the credibility of the statements of witnesses,
4. Together with the application and the original statements, we go to the poviat or city commandant of the fire training.

Importantly, the witness cannot be:

• the spouse, siblings, ascendants, descendants or second-degree relatives of the applicant;
• a person related to the applicant by virtue of adoption, guardianship or guardianship;
• a person in an official relationship with the applicant.
• a person convicted by a valid court judgment for an intentionally committed crime prosecuted by public indictment or a tax crime.
