Szymkiewicz was a musician, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He was best known for his performances in the band Pogodno, with which he played since 1996. He died suddenly of a heart attack on the night of April 11-12 at the age of 48.

He was an excellent guitarist, a great singer, a brilliant poet, a beautiful philosopher, recalled Zalewski, who was friends with Jacek Szymkiewicz.
The statuette was collected by the musician’s wife and his two children. First, the emotional daughter of “Budynia” thanked her for the award on the stage of Netto Arena in Szczecin:
Szczecin was generally an important place for my dad, he spent a lot of his youth here, and I was born in it and here he met my mother. Dad’s specialty was talking, sometimes he was even too good at it when he talked … and I don’t really know what to say. I am very proud of my dad and always was, and always will be.
Anna Szymkiewicz added: It was simply an honor to be his wife.
