Online sales are booming. We can buy there not only new clothes, but also used ones. Many women who get married choose to give a second life to their wedding dresses. They usually sell them a while after this beautiful event. It is rare for a dress to be left in the wardrobe for 28 years before it is re-circulated. It turns out, however, that such situations do happen. There is an advertisement on Facebook in which a woman sells a 1994 model.

She sells a 1994 wedding dress because her daughters-in-law and granddaughters are too big

It might not be surprising that a woman sells her wedding gown even after this time, but the reason the senior woman gave is quite surprising. At the very beginning, we learn that the dress is size “2” and the woman wants $ 800 for it. 27 years ago, it was a scream of fashion and the David’s dress was one of the best, most beautiful and, as she admitted, was breathtaking. Why did the woman put it up for sale only now?

If I had a daughter, I would like her to have one, but my daughters-in-law are too big (…). I thought one of my sons would find a smaller mate, but no. I also wanted to keep it for my granddaughters, but they too will be too huge and won’t fit.

– she wrote in a post on Facebook.

It quickly became loud on the Internet, and most comments appeared on Twitter, in a post by one of the users who wrote: “Buy my dress because my granddaughters are too big.”

Internet users criticized the woman who posted the advertisement

As we mentioned before, the most comments appeared on the Twitter post. In most of them, Internet users criticized the woman’s behavior. Some have even stated that they would never want to deal with her.

She used the word “huge” rather than “large”, and the word “huge” in this context is used negatively to mock her granddaughters who are too big to wear her tiny size two wedding dress.

– wrote one of the internet users.

I don’t understand the idea of assuming that your daughter / daughter-in-law / granddaughter will wear your wedding dress. What suits one woman may not suit another, let alone changing tastes and trends. It’s their day and they should wear what they want.

I got married in 1992 and paid $ 400 for my dress. I would NEVER thought that someone in my family would want my old dress! Trends are changing! All embarrassing someone for not being a size 2 is vile! Besides, David’s Bridal is not Gucci.

others added.

And you would like to buy such a wedding dress for $ 800?
