Who was Andrzej Siezieniewski?
Andrzej Siezieniewski has been associated with. He was its president twice – in 2002-2006 and 2011-2016. He started working in the radio station in 1972. In the years 1976-1982 he was a correspondent in the USSR. In 1984, he became the editor-in-chief in the directorate of news programs. After returning to the Polish Radio in 1988, he became the head of the daily newspaper department, and in the years 1989–1994 he worked as a correspondent in Moscow. In 1996 he took the position of the director of the Information Radio Agency. He held this position for two years.
In addition, in the years 2007-2011, and then from 2016 to 2017, he was a member of the Management Board of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw.
Andrzej Siezieniewski received many honorary decorations
In 1999 he was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, in 2005 – the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, and in 2013 – the Commander’s Cross. In 2005, he was awarded the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis. In 2012, he received the honorary badge “For Merits for the Union of Veterans of the Republic of Poland and Former Political Prisoners”.
Andrzej Siezieniewski died on April 21, 2022, reports that he was struggling with a cancer disease.
