During Holy Week, Ecuadorians enjoy with their families a typical dish rich in a variety of grains and other ingredients that enrich the palate. Fanesca is not just another dish, it is the food heritage of Ecuadorians.

The fanesca is prepared with cod, squash, zambo, beans, chochos, corn, peas, beans, rice, onion, garlic, cumin, achiote, peanuts, milk, cream and cheese.
