american pianist Robert Glasperwinner of four Grammy awards, joins the line-up of the 45th edition of the Vitoria Jazz Festival, to which the trumpet of the British-Bahraini Yazz Ahmed and the tuba of the British Theon Cross are also added.
The American musician will perform on the Mendizorroza stage on the night of July 16, offering his mix of hip hop, R&B and jazz.
Glasper’s concert will be preceded by a recital by Theon Cross, known for having relaunched the tuba, the brass instrument that projects the lowest sound.
The Jazz Festival has also announced another addition for the night of Thursday, July 14: the British-Bahraini trumpeter Yazz Ahmed will perform before the Snarky Puppy quartet.
The Vitoria Jazz Festival will be held between July 13 and 17 and will feature performances, among others, by veteran Cuban trumpeter Arturo Sandoval and Brazilian pianist Eliane Elías.
