Screenwriter Jakub Korolczuk and director Maciej Pieprzyca are working again with the producers of Opus TV on the sequel to the criminal “Kruk”. Adrian Panek will also be responsible for some of the episodes.
Adam Kruk will come back, but what will he be like? “Nobody is by nature neither bad nor good”
The station does not yet reveal the details of the script or the cast, but it is known that the photos will be taken, among others again in Podlasie, and Michał Żurawski will return in the main role (Adam Kruk). So far, two – equally good – series have been created (the first one premiered in 2018 and the second in 2021), as well as a radio drama, the action of which is set between the stories told in both parts of the series. The last episode of the second season left viewers with an appetite for the sequel, so the information about the third season is only a confirmation of assumptions.
– A question that we will see Kruk in the next season, because, as Szeptucha says, “nobody is by nature neither bad nor good”. Will the protagonist succumb to the demons that haunt him all his life, or will he plan a vendetta in a completely different way as a law enforcement officer and father of a few-year-old child? I was intrigued myself, which way the screenwriter would go, because Kruk is a totally ambiguous character. I can assure you that you will cheer him on, clenching your fists white. And that’s what a good crime story is all about – says Beata Ryczkowska, director of original and co-productions at CANAL + POLSKA.
One can hope that Magdalena Koleśnik and Tomasz Wlosok will appear in the series again, but we cannot be sure of anything. – Viewers who saw the second season of “The Raven” know what should happen next – The Raven becomes an avenger and deals bloodily with his opponents. But this hero is unpredictable. He might as well go somewhere far away to mourn in silence. Which path will it choose? I am curious myself, because I only write down his story, but all decisions are made by Adam Kruk – says Jakub Korolczuk, the originator and screenwriter of the series.
We will return to the Kropliczanka office – there will be more “The Office PL”
CANAL + will also shoot the second mockumentary series “The Office PL”, a series based on the British BBC format. It was one of those productions that fans of the original were waiting for, and at the same time very afraid of it – it’s not easy to jump to the bar set by Ricky Gervais. Many people were skeptical even after we watched the first episodes, but many joined us after the premiere.
Shooting for the second series will begin this spring. Łukasz Sychowicz together with Jakub Rużyłło and Mateusz Zimnowodzki will again be responsible for the script, and Maciej Bochniak for the direction. The creative producer of the series is Dorota Kośmicka, and the executive producer is Jake Vision DGA Studio.
– When we wrote the first season, we didn’t know how the show would be received, we finally faced the legend. Now that we know the reactions have been very good, we can do more. After all, whoever does not risk does not drink Kropliczanka. In the second season, there will be a few new heroes, some very interesting guest appearances, but what will not change is the humor and situations that, on the one hand, make them laugh, and on the other, make them ashamed of the characters – says Łukasz Sychowicz, head writer.
The plot will focus on the fate of Kropliczanka employees and their two co-presidents, Patrycja (Vanessa Aleksander) and Michał (Piotr Polak). After the successful defense of the company and the success of Patrycja, the stakes in the second season will be even higher. Michał and Patrycja will compete for a position on the management board of the company to which Kropliczanka belongs. The heroes competing in innovative business solutions will be accompanied by new, freshly recruited Kropliczanka employees.
