International concerts in Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil celebrate the month of Francophonie

Belgian-Peruvian singer-songwriter David Mendez will be presented next Tuesday, in the coastal city of Guayaquil, at a concert within the framework of the celebrations of the month of la francophonie, organized by the embassies of French-speaking countries in Ecuador and the European Union, it was reported this Sunday.

Belgian group leader Guys and Mendez, the singer lives in Brussels and writes his songs in French and Spanish.

“With his music, he wants to question the obvious, meet the poetry of the other and re-enchant the world. With his musical project, he has had the opportunity to play all over Europe and to be broadcast on the main national radio stations”indicates the program of the month of the Francophonie distributed by the Embassy of France, in Quito.

Méndez will be presented at the headquarters of the French Alliance of Guayaquilwhile in another of the shows as part of the celebration of la francophonie, the Andes and Afro-American jazz meet this Sunday in the music of Manu Guerrero, on the House of Music, in Quito.

Alone, in symbiosis with his piano, Manu will perform one of his latest compositions and also some very personal versions of songs from the jazz, pop or South American music repertoire.

Guerrero will later offer concerts in the provinces of Loja, Azuay, Guayas and Manabí.

On the other hand, inspired by escape, tinged with exoticism, sprinkled with organic percussion and animated by Latin guitars, the singer Benjamin Piat invites you to travel to warm lands that will transport the viewer from the colorful islands of the Caribbean to the festive streets of New Orleans.

Piat will offer concerts in Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil between March 28 and 30.

In addition to a francophone market held yesterday, Saturday, the month of la francophonie also includes conferences, book presentations, tik tok contests and a film show in different cities of Ecuador, among others. (I)
