Many seniors are eagerly awaiting the April and May payments of benefits, as the 13th retirement pension will be credited to their accounts with them. It would be a big surprise for the elderly if the payment was PLN 120 higher than announced. There is a way for this to happen. Experts presented it in an interview with “Super Express”.
The thirteenth pension 2022. Who is entitled to?
Thirteen will be paid to all seniors without the need to submit an application. Their income is not taken into account. It is only important that as of March 31, 2022, they are entitled to one of the benefits financed from public funds, e.g. retirement pension, disability pension or pre-retirement allowance.
How much will the 13th pension net amount to in 2022? The amount is higher due to valorization
Due to the March valorization of benefits, this year seniors’ accounts will receive PLN 151.74 more, i.e. PLN 1,217.98. The payment date depends on when the senior receives the monthly payment. This could be the 1st, 5th, 6th, 10th, 15th, 20th or 25th of April. People receiving pre-retirement benefits and benefits will receive their 13th retirement pension in May.
Benefits could be higher. There is a way
The idea for higher benefits was presented by Oskar Sobolewski from the Pension Institute, as reported by the “Super Express” daily. His task of the Thirteen can be exempt not only from income tax, but also from health insurance. The diary indicates that then pensioners would receive PLN 1,338.44.
