DIY Easter decorations – suggestions for adults and children
Can something nice be made from recycled materials? Definitely yes! All you need is a bit of imagination and a pinch of invention. Ready DIY ideas are presented below.
Easter decorations made of paper – key of birds
The bird key is a proposition for those who like minimalism. From white A4 sheets or from a newspaper page of the same size, we create a few simple birds using the origami technique. Here is the instruction:
Then, with the help of transparent tape, fasten the birds on a string or rope. Such a bird composition can, for example, decorate a mirror or a window. You can also decorate the table with paper birds.
Handmade Easter decorations – menu
In the paper decorations category, you can also create your own menu. For preparation, we need corrugated cardboard, which we cut into equal rectangles. Then use a gold or silver fineliner to create a frame and a list of dishes. The menu can be put on plates. It is worth inviting children to the production of decorations, who, in addition to the list of dishes, can also create adequate drawings. The color order is ensured by a maximum of two shades of a fineliner. For a better effect, it is also worth arranging napkins on the plates.
Easter decorations made of tissue paper – chicken piñata
This proposal of tissue paper ornaments is second to none. It is enough to pack some candies in a cardboard box and make a makeshift closure that will easily open under the influence of an impact. Then, from strips of blotting paper cut into the shape of grass, create chicken feathers and cover the box with them. Finally, we add details such as the beak, eyes and wings and a string and it’s ready. The wings can be made of side walls, and the beak can be glued with colored tape. We paint the eyes with a marker.
DIY Easter decorations – swallow house
To prepare the cottage, you will need a rectangular cardboard box again. With the help of sticks, we make a visor and fix it with a soft wire. In the next step, a hole is cut out in the box, into which we put some hay and Easter eggs. You can also add chicken.
