Did the child come back from school with pen stains on his clothes? Or maybe you have some clothes with such stains and you don’t know what to do with it? We have 5 effective solutions for pen stains for you!
Lemon juice or citric acid
Wet the stain with water, then sprinkle with salt and rub with lemon. Then rinse everything with water and wash the stained clothes in the washing machine. Remember not to leave the mixture on your clothes for long, as it will leave a white residue!
You don’t have a fresh lemon? That’s okay! Powdered acid is enough too! Sprinkle it on the stain and leave it for a few minutes, then rinse with warm water. Wash clothes as normal if necessary. You can use kvass even for delicate fabrics, because it does not discolour them.
Baking soda or sour milk / kefir
The procedure is the same as with acid – wet the stain with water, sprinkle with baking soda and wait a few minutes. Then, wash the garment in the washing machine.
In the second method, pour the stain from the pen with sour milk (or kefir) and leave it for half an hour. After this time, we wash the dirty fabric in the washing machine.
Hairspray – the fastest way to remove stains from a pen
This is a quick way to get rid of a pen stain. Wet the stain with water and place a paper towel over the stain. Spray it with hairspray. The ink should soak into the towel. If any stains remain, wash the garment.
