After a three-year hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the capital city festival sponsored by Orange returns with a big boost. In June, we will be visited by artists who can easily be called veterans of the event – Tyler, The Creator performed at OWF in 2018, while the band Florence + The Machine are actually regulars. How is the festival timetable at the moment?
Orange Warsaw Festival 2022. A hot beginning of June
On June 3, the OWF stage will host: Żabson x Young Igi, who promote the joint project “Amfisbena”; Szczyl, who in October last year presented his debut album “Polska Florida” and poured hope into the hearts of those who are up to their ears on the trap; Charli XCX, one of Gen Z’s favorite pop artists; Nas, a hip-hop legend from the US East Coast, and the night’s main star, Tyler, The Creator. The performance of the rapper and producer will take place almost a year after the release of the album “CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST”, which is a synthesis of everything that Tyler proposed us musically. On the one hand – flashes of razor-sharp language from the “Goblin” and “Wolf” albums, on the other – romantic, introspective stories that Tyler shared on the “Flower Boy” albums, and a breakthrough in terms of artistic creation, “IGOR”. At the end of April, the mixtape “CMIYGL” will compete for several Grammy Awards.
On June 4, the Kacperczyk duo will perform in Służewiec; Norwegian singer Sigrid; Stormzy, a famous figure in the British rap scene; Earl Sweatshirt, a good friend of Tyler, under whose wings he started his hip-hop career in the Odd Future collective, known for his extremely lyrical imagination, as well as the band Foals, which is getting ready to release a new album. The final of the Orange Warsaw Festival will be a concert by Florence + The Machine – the group led by the charismatic Florence Welch will show the world the long-awaited album “Dance Fever” in the first half of May. The title speaks for itself – it promises to be a decent show.
