The man who blames himself for the death of his family in Ukraine
The story of the Ukrainian Sergey Perebyinis shocked the whole world. The man is the husband of Tatyana Perebyinis, 43, and Miketa, 18, and Alisa, 9, the family who fell dead in Irpin, on March 6, in the premeditated attack carried out by Russian troops to prevent the departure from the population.
The newspaper La Rioja recounts the drama experienced by the family in their attempt to flee, guided by a young friend of the family and collaborator of a church, Anatolij, 27, who also lost his life with them, and his two dogs, before the attack of a mortar that left them lying in the middle of the road.
According to the Spanish media, the brothers died instantly, but Tatyana, still unconscious, remained alive for a few minutes, when she was rescued by the Ukrainian soldiers and the journalists who were in the area, who saw how they ran in the street, after leaving their vehicle.
And after learning the terrible news that left him in deep sadness, Sergey Perebyinis shared some images of his family in a tribute to their lives, revealing the accumulation of feelings that surround him when he loses his loved ones.
The father, a computer programmer, blames himself for the tragedy in which he lost his wife and children, as he was caring for his sick mother with Covid-19, in eastern Ukraine, where they hoped to meet again.
“He took them all, Tanya couldn’t do it. I need to see you one last time. Forgive me, I could not defend you, ”she wrote on her Facebook account, blaming herself for her irreparable loss.
In his attempt to rescue something from his family, Sergey published photos of his two Terrier dogs, as one would have been left alive from the attack and rescued by a journalist. He found him in a clinic, but later reported that he too had left with his family.
Tatyana was a professional Accountant graduate and worked for a technology company, she liked gardening and skiing in the winter seasons.
Sergey said he recognized his family’s luggage from photos he saw on Twitter, and recalled the conversation he had the night before his wife decided to leave Irpin.
“I told him, forgive me that I couldn’t defend you,” he said. I tried to take care of one person and that means I can’t protect you.” To this, Tatyana replied: “Don’t worry, I’ll get out,” published the New York Times.
After they died, he reflected saying that it was important that his family was portrayed in images and video. “The whole world should know what is happening here”, he alerted, disturbed by the tragedy of his life. (I)
