If we do not keep the hood clean on a regular basis, its subsequent cleaning can take a lot of time and energy. They are effective in keeping it clean without the use of strong chemicals.
How often should I clean the cooker hood?
Try to make a habit of cleaning your hood regularly. Thanks to this, you will not have to spend a lot of time cleaning the sludge that has already dried. The best solution is to wipe the device after each use. However, if you spend a lot of time cooking in the kitchen, you should check the cleanliness of the mesh surface at least once a week. For this reason, it is worth knowing how to clean the hood of grease in a few minutes.
Homemade ways to clean the hood from fat
It is worth seeing that we do not need strong chemicals to thoroughly clean our hood of grease. You can use the funds that probably each of us has at home. What should we prepare?

- sprinkler
- paper towel
How to clean the hood quickly and effectively?
To prepare the solution, for cleaning it is enough to mix warm water in a 1: 1 ratio. Then we pour it into the sprinkler. At the very beginning, we remove the grille with the filter from the hood. Usually it is mounted with two clips and its disassembly takes a while. We also take out the elements that need to be replaced. Now we spray the entire grid very thoroughly and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes. The vinegar perfectly dissolves dirt and grease. After this time, it is enough to scrub the grid with a cloth or sponge, of course sprinkling the sheet with our solution from time to time.
To clean the hood from the outside, we can use either water with vinegar as before, or oil. However, water with vinegar is recommended, which will additionally shine the dull surface.
On the other hand, ordinary oil or olive oil can be used in everyday cleaning and caring for our hood. With a sponge, just put the olive on the grid and cover for a while with a microfiber cloth soaked in hot water. After removing it, carefully wipe the grate with the sharp side of the sponge. Then, use a paper towel to collect the remains of the oil and polish it, thanks to which we will not only thoroughly clean our hood, but also give it a unique shine.
