New directorate of the Women’s Foundation for Culture dreams of a 100% reactivated Art Center Theater

The emotions invaded the experimental room Leon Febres Cordero Art Center Theater, where this Tuesday women were the main protagonists; some of them were honored, while others were designated as part of the new 2022 – 2024 directory of the Fundación Sociedad Femenina de Cultura, that from now on has as its president Silvia Rivadeneira Avellan, who enters the position that for two consecutive periods was led by Marcela Del Rio.

“Assuming this presidency is hard, because we are in a very difficult time (…) It takes a lot of people to come, to hire the theater to be able to move forward, I want this to go”told this Diario Rivadeneira, who in the 1990s participated for the first time in the theater’s directory.

“I would love to bring younger people, with more vitality, with more desire to give the public another vision. This year we want to give the best in shows, and that our schools get ahead as much as possible”, he added.

Rivadeneira defines herself as passionate about music, cinema and literature. That is why she has always actively participated in some of the activities of the place, organizing some of her exhibitions.

“This theater is like my second home, I love it”affirms about the cultural space that has stood out from stages that endangered its permanence. “Our previous president was titanic in that sense, she worked very hard”he underlined.

In total there are 15 women who make up the directory that will be in constant activity for two years. Among them are Stephany Hollihan of Sensias first vice president; Mariana Hi-Fong de Camchonh, as second vice president; Hannelore Caminer de Pries as treasurer; Magdalena Band of Negrete, as a secretary; among other.
