Bob Dylan will publish his second book in which he reflects on the human condition

American singer-songwriter bob dylan announced on Tuesday the publication of The Philosophy of Modern Songwhich brings together more than 60 essays and is the first book published by the artist in 18 years.

The work, which will go on sale on November 8, has been in the making for more than a decade, since Dylan began writing it in 2010, according to the publisher in charge of its publication, Simon & Schuster.

The essays analyze in depth the works of other singer-songwriters, such as Stephen Foster, Elvis Costello, Nina Simone or Hank Williamspoints out the publisher’s press release.

Although the writings of the Nobel Prize for Literature speak of music, “in reality they are meditations and reflections on the human condition”, specify the statement.

This is the first book published by the person in charge of Blowin’ in the Wind since 2004, when he published the first part of his biography, Chronicles Volume One. (I)
