The artist Mari Roldan has painted about 2,000 euros in recent months. More than 150 works of art on small canvases that you can see in the video above the news. The peculiarity of andthese pictures is that they are on the surface of banknotes that can still be used to make payments.

“The first one I painted I did on a 10 euro bill. I did it with a pen because I didn’t know very well if it was going to work, if it was going to look good and to have an idea of ​​how to do it,” explains the artist, who dared nothing more and nothing less than with ‘The Creation of Adam’.

Since then and with a fine brush, it takes two days for each of these small works. There are several two things you have to keep in mind so that the banknotes remain legal tender: do not cover the serial numbernor the total area.

“The spirit of this is that when I use it, they give it to another person and this person uses it again. So that it goes as far as possible,” explains Marí Roldán. One of her claims is that his banknotes move around the world: “That travel everything that I have not been able to travel“.
