Unfortunately, this practice may contribute to faster deterioration of the clothes and loss of their color. In order to keep their color for a long time, they should be properly sorted by colors, the appropriate washing program and a detergent intended for a given garment should be selected. However, it is worth knowing that this can be prevented very easily, and everything that is needed is in the kitchen cupboard. It is enough to put a given batch of clothes in the washing machine, put a teaspoon of ground black pepper into the washing machine drum, add detergents and start the washing cycle. The roughness of the pepper causes it to bind with the detergent and to collect excess from the clothes, preventing the clothes from turning pale. After washing, just shake off any pepper residues from the fabric. You also do not have to worry about the intense smell of the spice, because the used fabric softener will completely mask it.
