The letter, which the spouses found, is a kind of “prophecy” described by the then 11-year-old girl. Most likely it was a task she was supposed to do at school. This can be evidenced by, for example, corrections made with a red pen. I am writing from the perspective of a 21-year-old girl who lives in the 1980s and describes her reality.
We use the ideas of the 11-year-old every day today
Some of the girl’s ideas did not happen in the 1980s only a moment later, but we use most of them to this day. Back in the days when the 11-year-old girl lived, in order to change the TV channel, you had to go to it and do it with a button or a knob. The girl wrote in her letter that in the 1980s TV sets would be huge screens and remote controls would be built into the armchair. Well, the truth is that the remotes are not part of the furniture, but indeed the idea of changing channels remotely worked well.
The teenager also described a door that could be opened with a button. Its idea is perfectly reflected in electromagnetic locks used in many places.
However, the girls’ most surprising idea was. According to her, in the 1980s they were to resemble those from the 1960s, i.e. they were to be square. In the future, however, there was going to be a significant difference. Their users were to not only hear but also see each other. As you can see, she was right about that.
One thing in the letter has not worked out so far. The 11-year-old predicted the creation of something like bubble gum with the taste of food, which was supposed to provide a feeling of fullness while chewing.
The mysterious author of the letter wanted
Though the discovery was made in 2021, the British media is still alive with the case. The pair of upholsterers does not stop in their search and wants to find a woman about 60 years old. The public is curious what prophecy a woman might say now.
