The ‘youtuber’ Álex Tienda reappeared and is now en route to Italy

Alex Store, the youtuber and Mexican documentary filmmaker, made his first posts on Instagram announcing his whereabouts after having previously deactivated his account due to a hack on his computer.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began on February 24, and since then thousands of Ukrainians and foreigners seek refuge or leave the country for fear of attacks and bombing from the neighboring country.

Store was located in the city of Kiev in Ukraine, documenting material from the armed conflict, but lost his belongings when he moved from Kiev to Kramatorsk. The youtuber He denounced on his Twitter account that his computer and the rest of his material had been stolen, although he does not know if by the Russian or Ukrainian side.

The Mexican deactivated his Instagram account and communicated with his followers only through Twitter, without revealing his location for security reasons. It was not known if he was still in the city of Kramatorsk or if he had already managed to leave the country.

However, his latest post on social media confirms that Tienda was able to leave Ukraine and go to Romania, where he boarded a refugee bus: “I am traveling on a refugee bus going from Romania to Italy. I will get off in Budapest ????????. The landscapes: SPECTACULAR!✨ This is something you will be able to see in the last episodes of my next documentary: UKRAINE????????”

The youtuber he also shared a video he documented while fleeing Ukraine: “The desperation to flee Ukraine has led to chaos and a humanitarian crisis at the borders. This was what I saw during my departure from the Ukraine to Romania.” (I)
