Juan and Luis are two friends and bank employees who meet every day at noon to chat and thus somehow leave behind the tensions of family or work. Until one day, one of the two proposes to exchange his wives, something that causes a “fire” and leads to questioning the limits of a friendship. It’s about theatrical comedy lost, who after his debut season at Casa Cino Fabiani arrives this Thursday at the Zaruma hall of the Sánchez Aguilar Theater, under the direction of David Morejon.
Andres Olmedo personifies Luis, who assures that he has a complete change in this second season. “Maybe he’s a little more proud than last time, for what he’s doing and what he can achieve… he’s a little more empowered, not so submissive anymore.”describes the actor.
As long as Francisco Aguiñaga gives life to Luis, a character he describes as an absolute scoundrel, but who is insecure inside. “He’s a great character… he presents you with a wall of emotion, but inside he’s a total coward.”he maintains.
“As an actor it has been very enriching to represent him, because it is really the opposite of what I am in my personal life, that is, I have found that I have to bring out that perverse side that I did not know I had and enhance it for the work”, Add.
They both see their characters as human beings with emotions, fears, worries and emotional conflicts. “We are going to see two guys suffer, and therefore, we are going to laugh”assures Aguiñaga.

Resuming rehearsals for this new series of features has meant finding more nuance to the story and characters. “It is a search for new things, both for the staging and in the character exploration part. People who got to see the first play might have a comparison to this second one and they’re going to see a super different arc.”Olmedo says.
This also responds to space, explains Aguiñaga. “Although they may be delimited by the dialogue and the theatrical text, in truth the spaces force us to enrich them, to improve them, even -if possible- even change them”mentions.
For his part, the director maintains that the characters will face situations from a human point of view. “We see characters that, although they have the same goal and something to look for, embrace it and face it in a different way. That is very interesting, because theater evolves, it always flows according to what we are going through at the moment…”details Morejón.
This season is the result of a co-production between the Sánchez Aguilar Theater and the Cino Fabiani House, an alliance that is carried out with the purpose of encouraging theatrical production among the independent spaces of the city. “We are all working together so that the projects are seen and do not disappear”Morejon says.
The dramaturgy is from Spanish Ramon Madaula, who conceived the text in Catalan to premiere it in Barcelona. The adaptation to the Spanish language for the functions in Guayaquil was carried out by Roberta Pasquinucci.
lost It will be on the TSA billboard on Thursdays and Fridays in March at 8:00 p.m. The entrance has a cost of $20, your purchase can be made through the web page www.teatrosanchezaguilar.org, the apps or at the theater box office. (I)
