As reported by foreign media, former Miss Ukraine, Anastazja Lenna, was to join the Ukrainian army to fight the Russian invader. The woman worked as a model for years, and in 2015 she represented the country in the Miss Grand International competition. After the attack by Russia, it became actively involved in helping her countrymen, contributing to the reserves of the local armed forces.

Just two days before the Russian invasion, Lenna shared photos on Instagram, which she presented with a weapon in her hand, with meaningful hashtags: #standwithukraine (I’m on the side of Ukraine) and #handsoffukraine (hands off Ukraine).

The woman uses her popularity to report on current events in the country, encouraging her to help Ukrainian troops. In one of the InstaStories, Lenna posted a photo of soldiers alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, calling him “a real and strong leader”. In another, we could see her during shooting training. – The invaders will die in the Ukrainian lands. Wait and see! Please share more information about this situation. Support Ukraine! Stop the Russian aggression! You can help us (…) – she wrote under the video from the shooting range. However, there is no confirmed information as to whether the model has already taken an active part in the ongoing fights.

Russia’s attack on Ukraine began on February 24 at 4 a.m. Polish time. In the first hours of the invasion, rocket fires were carried out around e.g. Kiev, Odessa and Kharkiv, airports and military bases. As reported by the Ministry of the Interior of Ukraine, 352 civilians have been killed so far, including 14 children, and several hundred thousand refugees have already been sent to Poland.
