With the return of the successful telenovela “Pedro, El Escamoso” to the television screens of some Latin American countries, its protagonists return to recall the moments lived in those productions.

And the actor Álvaro Bayona, who gave life to Pastor Gaitán, is one of them. More than 20 years after the premiere of this Colombian production, the 61-year-old artist talks about how the composition of his character was and what he learned from that performance.

In an interview for La Red Caracol, he told details about Pastor Gaitán and how respectful he was with the character.

Recall that in the drama, Bayona played a homosexual man who was secretly in love.

He related that at that time there was a lot of taboo to touch the subject of homosexuality on television, so he tried to break schemes. His gay friends told him that they felt well represented because the character had something unique and different about him.

Regardless of whether the guy was homosexual or not, he spoke of an impossible love

In addition, he also highlighted how good his relationship was with Miguel Varoni, who was the protagonist of “Pedro, El Escamoso”, since they got along very well from the first moment.
