A campaign aimed at refugees who come from Ukraine to Poland in connection with the war in their homeland was announced in the social media of the “Clothes to be given” project. The campaign will start this weekend, on February 26. This seemingly small gesture can be an invaluable help for the other person.
How to help refugees from Ukraine? Bring only items listed
The organizers of the campaign emphasize that people willing to provide only indicated items On list. It was prepared in consultation with the twin city of Łódź. It includes:
- blankets, sleeping bags, bedding, towels, mats
- raincoats, sweatshirts, tracksuits – women’s, men’s and children’s
- underwear for women, men and children
- cleaning and hygiene products – especially nappies, sanitary napkins, wet wipes, toothpaste, shampoos
- masks and antiseptics
- bottled water in packs
- mobile phones with chargers
- flashlights, matches, candles, power banks, batteries
- medical equipment sets – paracetamol, patches, warming ointments,
- nutritional products – modified milk, jars and cereals for children, instant ready meals, canned food, pasta, rice, cereals and other packed provisions, protein bars.
The Clothes to donate campaign starts. Where should I bring my products?
The warehouse where the products will be accepted is located at ul. Bokserska 64 in Warsaw Mokotów (warehouse no.5). It will be open on Saturday, February 26 from 9 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 9 pm. Weekly opening hours will be published shortly. People who want to take part in the fundraiser are asked to bring items from the list above already packed in cardboard boxes.
People outside Warsaw who would like to help, can send a parcel by courier to the following address: ul. Bokserska 64, Magazyn 5, 02-690 Warsaw, with a note on the carton “”. Items will not be accepted, however, only on the weekend of February 26-27. Cardboard boxes, which, thanks to the City Hall in Łódź, will be delivered to people in need from their partner city of Lviv, according to the organizers’ declarations, will be sent each time they manage to collect items for one full bus.
