The Basque Galleries Magic careersfrom Bilbao, and Cibrian, from San Sebastián and which participates in the Opening by Allianz section, will be at the Arcomadrid fair from today until February 27. The first of them will show works by, among others, June Crespo, while Cibrián will show works by Esther Gatón and Susan Cianciolo.
In addition, the Italian gallery Maab Gallery will present several works by the Basque artist at the fair Alain Urrutiawhich, together with works by Giorgio Morandi (Bologna, 1890-1964), “find assonances and frictions between one of the great masters of the 20th century and a young painter”.
In addition, the Madrid gallery José de la Mano, which last year showed and sold Ibarrola’s “Guernica”, will also offer buyers and curious works by Basque artists such as Inés Medina, Oteiza, Ibarrola himself and Nestor Basterretxea.
The artists Nora Aurrekoetxea, Gala Knörr, Juan Pérez Agirregoikoa and Nadia Barkate, all of whom have participated in programs at the San Sebastián Tabakalera Center for Contemporary Culture, will also be represented at the stands of different galleries.
