Today, February 23, the eighth edition of the loraldia festivalwhich will be held in fifteen venues in Bilbao between the days March 7 and 27.
This festival, focused on the future and closely linked to creativity, has gone back to the first book by Bernardo Atxaga, Ethiopiato choose the motto of its next edition, Hautsi zen anphora!.
Four decades ago, Ruper Ordorika turned several poems from that work into songs, and presented the record work of that name. Now, thanks to the collaboration between Korrika Kulturala and the Loraldia festival, Ruper Ordorika himself will once again bring those creations to the stage together with Mugalaris, while Bernardo Atxaga lectures on today’s literature.
Continuing with the music, on March 16 you can enjoy the show The constrictor. lekeitiotik hegan: Kuraia Ensamble will provide contemporary music, Elektrat will project visual art and Maddi Oihenart will sing; on March 23 Amaia Lasa and Urbil Artola will represent Belarus Hostoak. Walt Whitman; on March 26 and 27 Ixiar Rozas, Ainara LeGardon and Rafel MartÃnez del Pozo will present the experimental work Unison; and on the 26th the concert Muguruza Mani-fest will celebrate the musical career of Fermin Muguruza at the Kafe Antzokia with Juantxo Arakama & Asmathic Band, La Basu & Basatiak, and Nerea Erbiti, Ion Celestino and Eskola Ergatiboa.
Theater
Loraldia will also present, on March 15 at the Arriaga theater, Mira-hadi. Eulalia Abaitua andre-begietanan own production about the first Basque woman photographer.
Dance
The Haatik company will celebrate its tenth anniversary with the premiere of its work Ur choreography for which he has had the collaboration of the writer Koldo Izagirre in the script, Pascal Gaigne in the music and Olatz Beobide for the interpretation of the artists. It can be seen on March 19 in the atrium of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.

Literature
Irati Jimenez will offer the show on March 17 Basque Literature in supernatural history batand the next day Hedoi Etxarte will present his book Sortaldekoak together with Broken Brothers Brass Band and Xabier Erkizia.
On March 27, the last day of Loraldia, Alaine Agirre, Oihana Bartra, Nerea Ibarzabal and the music Olatz Salvador will combine literature, bertsos and music based on a text by Agirre, Gerorik Balego.
Art
The Loraldia organization has focused its gaze this year on the figure of the artist Juan Carlos Eguillorwho died in 2011. The Bira space (Ronda street) will host a sample of his work based on the iconic album cover Hautsi da Amphoraby Ruper Ordorika.
On March 20, the artist Xaloa Ipina will exhibit at the Marzana art gallery accompanied by the music of Xendarineko Ahizpak.
